Hi friends! Lori Ann here. 👋🏼 I hope you are having a great week so far. Great news, it’s not January anymore! Thrilling.

If you’ve been part of the ON OFF community, or following from afar, you may have noticed our dance programming picking up momentum. That has been very intentional. I’m a dancer, I love dancers, and I hope to support dancers and create opportunities for our community whenever I can.

In that spirit, I’m honored to share that ON OFF will present a three-day workshop in Paris with The Verdon Fosse® Legacy.

Way back in 2013, I joined The Verdon Fosse® Legacy as one of the original dancers on its reconstruction team. We learned and filmed Fosse repertoire for the archives, taught by original Fosse® dancers under the direction of Nicole Fosse, so the work could live on beyond any of us.

Beyond the incredible opportunity to dance this iconic material, what stayed with me most was the time in the studio. Learning directly from artists who lived this work. Sharing stories, mentorship, and experience passed from one generation of dancers to the next.

Thirteen years later, in a new chapter in Paris, it brings me great joy to help make this experience accessible to a new generation of dancers in Europe. And I’m excited to dance it again too 😉

Taking place April 25–27, 2026 in Paris, this three-day workshop includes approximately six hours per day of technique, répertoire, and detailed study of Fosse® choreography. The program offers dancers a close look into the work and approach of the The Verdon Fosse® Legacy Professional and Intensive Training Programs.

Throughout the weekend, invited industry guests will join us to observe the work and share insights during end-of-day conversations.

On Monday, April 27, select dancers will be awarded scholarships to continue their training through the extended Verdon Fosse® Legacy Intensive and additional ON OFF programs.

Due to limited capacity, participation is by application to ensure an intentional and supportive learning environment. Intermediate, pre-professional, and professional dancers ages 16+ are encouraged to apply.

Applications are reviewed with care as they are received. Registration is open!

For our next Book Club pick, we’ll be reading Fosse by Sam Wasson. Continuing the theme.

This is a big book. 784 pages. Reading it together gives our wider community a way to engage with Fosse’s work and influence, including non-dancers and those who may not be able to join the workshop in person. It also offers context for understanding how Fosse continues to shape culture today. Think Beyoncé’s Single Ladies music video.

Because of the length, we’ll read the book over two months and discuss it on an ongoing basis in our Discord. We’ll also meet on Zoom in March for a book club chat to connect the reading with the upcoming workshop. All are welcome to join.
